Her film NIGHT TRAIN won an award in Go Debut European film festival. Screened in KURZFILM festival, Hamburg, and diffused in cinemas in Germany as part of the Kurzfilm catalogue. She participated in the directors – storyboard course of L'ECOLE DE LA POUDRIERE presented by directors Rémi Chayé, Benoît Chieux, and other.
Sofia's award winning film AUTUMN was screened in numerous festivals, including La fête de court métrage in France, Solidarity, T.A human rights film festival and Festival du film social, Nice.
As a story-board artist Sofia worked on the series 'Les Palimpseste', directed by Ingrid agbo. '123 viva l'Algerie!' feature animated-documentary, produced by La belle affaire productions and screened in CINEMED, Festival International du Cinéma méditerranéen.
Her animated documentary LOST in LIMBO participated in the residency La maison des auteurs, la cité de BD, Angoulême and Valence festival des scénaristes.
Sofia's short scenario won the plume the crystal award in Valence festival des scénaristes and development grants in France. (France Tv, région Aquitaine, CNC).
Currently she is working on the development of a feature length film with the support of the ISRAEL cinema project – The Rabinovich fund. The film is produced by UCM productions, and the scenario writing is lead by Yossi Madmoni. (Co-written with the writer Neta Troim).
As a storyteller, Sofia puts in the center of her films female characters. Using her ability as a painter and a storyboard artist, she creates surreal innovative visual worlds for her films.
